| One Room School House at Texas Folklife Festival June 13 - 15, 2008 Every year our chapter demonstrates life in a turn of the century school house to Folklife visitors. The kids love it!!! They cannot believe that there is no restroom or cafeteria. They are surprised at the work required of the students. We are looking for a few more people to work shifts on Friday, June 8th through Sunday, June 10th. We have props, skits, and costumes (modified to fit with what you are wearing) and you will receive an armband which gets you into the festival all three days.Please spread the word around. | Rebuilding Together October 20, 2007 On Saturday, October 20, the members of the Alamo Chapter of PDK will join together with volunteers from all over San Antonio in an one-day blitz to repair and rehabilitate the homes of the poor, elderly and handicapped.
