| One Room School House at Texas Folklife Festival June 2009 Every year our chapter demonstrates life in a turn of the century school house to Folklife visitors. The kids love it!!! They cannot believe that there is no restroom or cafeteria. They are surprised at the work required of the students. We have props, skits, and costumes (modified to fit with what you are wearing) and you will receive an armband which gets you into the festival all three days.Please spread the word around. You can have several people work one shift if you desire. If you are interested please contact Rory Raven at rory.raven@nisd.net. | Rebuilding Together October 17, 2009 On Saturday, October 17, the members of the Alamo Chapter of PDK will join together with volunteers from all over San Antonio in an one-day blitz to repair and rehabilitate the homes of the poor, elderly and handicapped.
